That's a bug. Fixed -- see below. Thank you for pointing it out. > After commanding 'sd <something>', sometimes Esc closes the modal, > but sometimes it does not. I haven't been able to determine the > conditions under which it does not --- it seems sort of random. It is seemingly random: sometimes, after SD exits, focus is not in the directory dialog. It's a quirk of the program, not controllable in a script, as far as I can see. The remedy is to click into the DIR dialog, or Alt+Tab until it's in focus, then hit Esc. > I hadn't tried 'NE <filename.ext>'. What I'm seeing is that that > command creates the file <filename.ext> if no such file exists, > and otherwise opens the file. A minor point is that in the former > case the list of files in the Notes pane doesn't update. There are multiple scenarios in which the Notes pane doesn't refresh automatically. It will take some time to find a fix; I'll put it on the punch list. > Now I see that $* is the argument supplied to the function. $* is all the arguments stringed together, separated by spaces. Individual arguments are accessed with $1, $2, and so forth. As always, Martin, your comments are much appreciated!
