I'm belatedly trying out XyScript under Windows and am enormously
impressed by what Carl has accomplished.
I have a few basic questions, which are almost certainly answered in the
manual, but I couldn't find the answers easily, and I think others may
want to ask the same things:
1. How does one open the underlined items on the top-line menu? In
standard Windows applications, Alt-F opens the File menu, Alt-E the Edit
menu, etc. This doesn't do anything in XyScript when I open it with itsdefault settings. What do I need to do to make XyScript's top-line menuwork like other Windows menus?
2. In the lower left of the window, at the far left of what I think is
the status bar, there is a field that seems to contain the current
directory followed by an empty square box and then the current filename.
On my system (ordinary Intel graphics) the field is almost unreadable
because it uses gray letters on a black background. What needs to be
done to make this field readable?
3. The same unreadable color combination appears in the
currently-selected tab in the tab row below the top-line menu. What
setting changes this?
Perhaps we could have a PDF showing the UI elements with each one
labeled with its name so that we can identify it in the menu?
Again, this is a staggering achievement that I look forward to using.
