It wrote 100%. From the manual, it new to do ADD not LOAD, and it is "aware" of problems like overwriting. Yes, I started by asking it to reload, when saving .KBD and .CFG files, and it came up with CM, I think I raised with it the issue of .LIB and .AR. Remember Carl has ingested the whole manual. Also, even the far less intelligent AI agent I was using in February ratified my likening of something in AHK (or some other more contemporary scripting faciliy) to the distinction between SV and SX in XyWrite, and I don't think I had ever mentioned XyWrite to it. --Harry On Mon, 14 Sep 2026 17:55:27 +0000, Carl Distefano wrote: > Reply to note from harrybinswanger <dmarc-noreply@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Mon, 14 Sep 2026 12:06:43 -0400 > > Harry, > > > For instance, Claude wrote SaveReload # DOC: if file has KBD, > > CFG, AR, or LIB, extension, reload it > > What did Claude actually write? Was Claude smart enough to do something like this -- adding extension CM for command-history files and using ADDLIB, not LOADLIB, to avoid overwriting a different loaded LIB file (e.g., xyscript.lib): > > ``` > # DOC: If file has KBD, CFG, AR, CM, or LIB extension, save and reload it > LOCAL ext prefix > SET ext = $(UPPER($(GetPath($FP)[3]))) > IF $ext == "LIB" > SET prefix = "ADD" > ELSE > SET prefix = "LOAD" > EI > IF CONTAINS("AR|CFG|CM|KBD|LIB", $ext) > SA > RUNCODE $prefix$ext $FP > EI > ``` > > -- > Carl Distefano > cld@xxxxxxxxxx > |
