Thanks to Robert Hemenway for the info on NB characters!

Microsoft has "web fonts" that include various ISO character sets for the
"core fonts", they're free for download. So if you use TTF, that will work,
but you have to switch fonts (e.g. from Times New Roman to Times New Roman
Baltic) to get them.

Do your comments about the system being sui generis mean that the NB Lingua
characters don't convert well into other formats?
