Yikes! And I the daughter and granddaughter of musicians. But you
meant "the lower the number, the lower the pitch," no? Because it is
high-pitched sounds that most humans have trouble hearing (my brother
could hear dog whistles in his youth, and still hears better than I,
though he's 17 years older). But setting it at 5000 makes it perfectly
audible.
