Re the styles. You can create a style at any time based on the current
formats by using the SS command on the command line followed by a style name.
 This is what you could call a context-sensitive style: if you change the
formatting anyplace before the SS command triangle, the format will change
anywhere later that you have a US.

You can also simply type SS on the command line followed by Enter. That
opens a command window in which you have to type all the details about the
style. You have to know how style statements are formatted, however, and
that could be a pain.
