Sorting dates with Xywrite

I have been using Xywrite for years. I am wondering if this program is
capable of ordering (or sorting) according to date (i.e. 1/25/99, 1/26/99,
1/27/99, etc.) I type a list of records that are dated but not in order. I
remember someone telling me that Xywrite had this capability of sorting the
list according to dates. I would appreciate any knowledge about this.
