Thanks Kari. I've now put GWX on every W7 rig that I'm responsible for, and turning ON the monitor mode has become part of that regimen. It is reasonable to suppose that MS may try some sort of counter to GWX, so I would additionally suggest bookmarking their download site, to keep a lookout for any GWX updates that may get released. The current version is 1720.

Hello,

This morning I got an alert from GWX Control Panel saying that Windows
Update OS upgrades had been reenabled by MS. So, if you are using GWX
Control Panel to thwart the Win10 upgrade, you need to enable "Monitor
mode" in GWX Control Panel, otherwise you may end with a Win10 download
on your disk.
