re Proud to be loopy [os/2]

"An open message to Leslie, Annie and other non-loopy cultists:
"I'm puzzled by the vehemence of your anti-OS2 stance. [...]" --John Gordon

You presume too much. You have absolutely no idea what my "os2 stance" is
unless you've come across it in comp.os.os2 newsgroups where I post
occasionally or unless xylist subscribers who are nonobsessive os/2 users,
with whom I discuss it via email at times, have shared it with you. My
protests that you've read here object to the coopting of this
list--supposedly dedicated to discussion of the dos/Windows word processor
xyWrite--for conversations that belong in comp.os.os2.apps, comp.os.os2.misc,
comp.os.os2.advocacy, or comp.os.os2.setup. The purpose is to bludgeon TTG
and the tactic is an obvious, ineffectual bore.

My online software truncated the rest of your msg and crashed. Probably
contained a control char like hex 1A. os/2-generated msgs so often do, Tom
Hawley's always. In fact, any technical prob I encounter on the
list--multiple postings of the same msg, msgs intended for the server sent to
all subscribers, etc.--always seem to come from os/2 self-styled power users.
