Semi-unaccountable success with W2K on Parallels Workstation. I had had two problems: incomplete DIR responses and inability to get out to the ‘net. 1. The DIR in Xy is now working correctly. Maybe it just required another re-boot. Maybe it was my doing a DIR in CMD.EXE before launching Xy. 2. More understandable is why networking is now working: it was a Parallels setting. It has to be set to Bridged and to Default Adapter. BTW, there is a really nice simple user interface in Parallels for these settings. |
