Thanks for your reply re: words that offend.
  Our society, even our cultured society, has changed quite a bit
since, say, 1960. Heck, even my wife says things across the dinner
table that her mother would never say. A term like bull sh*t, for
example, has replaced older terms like "hot air," "garbage,"
"balderdash," "rubbish," and so on which turn up in earlier speech.
Those terms seem too tame for something that a person now regards as
true BS.
  As for the Iraqi dead, I would draw no parallel between language
civility and the tragedy of war. The number of things happening around
the world that outrage sensitive people, religious or not, are so
numerous that Henry's harddisk could not hold all the messages if we
chose to expand on them here.
