Nice idea, thanks. I didn't know about the /NV switch, tho, that makes it
doable.

Actually, I remembered that the SUBST command works for subdirectories, so I
stuck a drive letter from way down in the alphabet in AUTOEXEC.BAT file and
used that in my startup file. Neither of these workarounds should be
necessary, IMO.
