Re: A Real puzzler

I mean the full-screen graphic view. The command is shift-F8; normally
it works well either from the small command.com window or from the
alt-enter full screen. On this particular desktop the command fails
with both Xy4 and Signature, but works on the other three: a W98
Toshiba, an XP-home Compaq, and an XP-Professional laptop.
I was delighted with Signature when it first appeared, and it's always
worked well, so that I've had no reason to change all my LM commands to
OF in a considerable archive of texts, although I have Xy4 in the final
version, too. That's why I've been curious about U2 & Signature. Another
reason I stay with Signature that Xyquest made a Signature printer file
for me that does footnote numbers exactly as I want them.

In the past I've asked whether U2 worked with Signature, but without drawing a single reply--perhaps no-one knows?

Maybe nobody cares whether U2 works with an early Beta version
of Xy4, which is what Signature amounts to. The final version
of Xy4 is readily available for download, and the default
assumption here is that if you are using Xy4, you are using
v4.018. Why would anyone not use the best available version? Signature was buggy and half-cooked.

then it started refusing to go into WYSIWYG mode

What exactly do mean by "WYSIWYG"? What command are you using
to try to get into this "WYSIWYG mode"?
