Mr Besser,
If you need no graphical features, my feeling is you are better off with
Desqview than with Windows. I know little about OS/2. I will wager that with
8 meg of ram, **no** Windows, and good olf Desqview, you will be running at
Warp speed.

By the way: I believe some bugs have been reported when XyWrite is run under
Desqview. I'm sure others will advise you about this.
