Paul, that's weird. I think you're right about 47 lines being the
actual vDos max, but I have no trouble getting 47 lines and 80 or 100
columns by setting the corresponding values at the XyWrite command
line. On the other hand, there may be a hardware element in play. Both
of my monitors (work and home) are 10+ years old, and the experience
may be different on a newer monitor.
I have no trouble running the Microlytics spell-checker under vDos on
both of my machines (both happen to be HPs). Again, I'm wondering if
the trouble you're having is hardware-related. Is there anything
special/unusual about your setup?
