I acquired an OpenType version of SimSun (which from a little quick
online research appears to have a TrueType version as well) that I used
in WinXP with Tame. It's a straightforward serif monospace font,
designed more for Chinese I believe (I think I acquired it when I
installed Asian language support), but it's what I settled on for Tame.
Not sure how well it'd work with a smaller screen size, but it might be
worth a try. It's definitely not spaced out.
