There numerous improvements/changes in vDosPlus. Upgrading to it is
highly recommended.

VDLUPD won't work, however.

Go to XyWWWeb -- https://users.datarealm.com/xywwweb/ -- for
information and download links for vDosPlus. Since you're a U2 user, I
would recommend doing the following:

1) Do a new install of vDosPlus, in a new directory
2) Copy your config and autoexec files from your old vDos-lfn directory
3) Once you have XyWrite running under vDosPlus, download and install
the latest U2.

In the new U2, VDLUPD has become VDPUPD. (See the changelog --
U2HIS  -- for other VDL-to-VDP transformations.) In the
future, you can use VDPUPD to update to new builds of vDosPlus.
