Re: Nota Bene and OS/2 -Reply

That's really odd! I had no trouble installing the NB demo under NT
4.0 and Win 98. And NT *CAN* run 16 bit windoze apps.... at least, I
run XyWin under NT with no problem!

As Alice would say...... curiouser and curiouser!

I downloaded the Nota Bene Demo program and eagerly installed the
program
under Windows NT 4 only to find that it could not register something
called
COMDLG16.OCX and another OCX file. Despite these ominous warnings the

install completed and I attempted to start the program only to be
greeted
with a rather authoritive dialog box informing me that Windows NT 4
does
not run 16 bit Windows programs.

Considering my above experience I'm most interested in learning more
about
your install under NT particularly that part about it working fine!

By the way, for me this same program (Nota Bene Demo) works only
rather
reluctantly under Windows 98. At least on my system the program
crashes
fairly often when I attempt to do a search. There are some other
problems
as well, so I am generally not too impressed. Oh well, I was
enthusiastic
about it for a while and I'm presently waiting for email response from
Nota
Bene about my NT experience.
