I remember the "keyboard did not accept new repeat rate ..." when I started using Windows
2000. I
found the only solution to be to remove the KS line from my startup file and set the keyboard
repeat rate within the DOS box. If you type "help mode" at a DOS prompt (in win2k anyway)
you will
get a list of options. These persist in all DOS boxes for all time, in my experience, until
altered.
