Mode deltas

I _thought_ I remembered being able to see the deltas that indicate
≪MD+IT≫ and the like with one of the DT default settings. But none of
the dt values that are listed as "markers visible" (1,2, &4) shows those
particular markers. Am I just misremembering? Or has something gotten
scrambled on my systems? (Three, two running Win 98SE, one Win 98 first;
holds in both full-screen and windowed mode)
