Robert: I know. So your attention is all the more appreciated. The
Page-Line vs other-view information is enlightening but peripheral. The
particular view v4 changes to doesn't matter. What matters is that it
changes at all--that the change is *unbidden* and requires manual
resetting to the desired view. You write:

and this probably is the root of the misunderstanding. We who are having
the problem DO, and I for one feel no need to defend the methods I use
to write and edit. Of course I consult finished tables with a formatted
view.

I didn't pull that out of thin air. Is your startup DT set at 0?

Interesting endeavor. As I indicated before, my tables are garden variety
