I too am very frustrated aboutthe inability of HPLaser Drivers to
accommodate the intl. ASCII set XyWrite uses. A simply thing
like using smart quotes [264] and [265] requires continual test
printing with different symbol sets before you get them, rather
than those 0's.

And the changes are good that, once you find the right symbol set
for the smart quotes, the [196] (dash) will, as if by wizardry,
appear as an a-acute or something equally bizarre.
