Re: vDosPlus XyWrite 3.01 available

Harry,

Sorry to have been too concise.

Winkey is a vDosPlus directive that was already in the vDosPlus Autumn
branch before the installer was ported to that branch. Installer support
means documentation and restore settings functionality in this case. By
setting WINKEY = OFF, you can press Ctrl-V to paste clipboard contents
instead of the Win+Ctrl+V key combination. Please refer to
readme_first.txt and manual.txt in the installer for more details.

The SYSICONS directive is an entirely new directive. In the version
included in the current installer it has two options ON and OFF. It
controls how frameless and full-screen vDosPlus windows handle system
icons. Installer support means documentation and restore settings
functionality.

SYSICONS = OFF does not show minimize, maximize/restore and close
buttons at the topmost right corner when hovered on in frameless or
fullscreen mode

However, Wengier has changed this to be more versatile in newer daily
builds of vDosPlus. It now has the following options

SYSICONS = 0 => no icons when hovered on
SYSICONS = 1	=> stylized system icons (- + x, - = x)
SYSICONS = 2	=> standard Windows-style system icons for a window of 25
display lines (this is the vDosPlus default)
SYSICONS = 3	=> standard Windows-style system icons for more than 25
lines (e.g. 43 or 50 lines)

These options will be supported by the next edition of the installer.

Kari, I don't understand this. Could you post a less technical and more explanatory version. For instance is this something that pertains only to the installer? What are the Winkey and Sysicons directives? Thanks for your help. --Harry
