   I've often encountered the problem Thomas Hawley describes. Most
frequently it occurs at the very end of a file (or of the text before a
 delta). I've fiddled, as Tom did, and managed to recover the
"printability" of the text. On one occasion I couldn't do anything to fix
the problem and made a separate file for the missing line! It's stuff
like that that sends me back to XY III+.
   Is Tom perchance using XY 4.011? That's my version, though today I
finally got around to ordering the last published version, 4.017. (An
extensive list of fixes, which a member of this list posted last year,
convinced me....)
   Tom, it would certainly be useful to know what version you are using.
