Re: TTG Marketing Woes

Certainly, we all are concerned about the future of XYWrite, and many of
us have said so, repeatedly, on this list. But is it really necessary
to go on at such great length about Ken Frank's presumed "frustrations",
"predilections", or "insults" in this fashion? This list was founded,
and is maintained, by Nathan Sivin for the benefit of its subscribers,
users of XYWrite in all of its versions. It has never been an official
arm, outlet, subsidiary, whatever, of TTG, nor would I want it to be.
Ken Frank has, from time to time, posted to the list, and I have always
found them to be well-reasoned and informative (yes, they were to this
list; not in private e-mail), and perhaps one of us should have collected
them into a FAQ. So, how about a bit less pop psychology? If you took
offense at Frank's post, then why not e-mail him privately about it? In
the meantime, do you have any good XPL routines you'd like to share with
us--the real purpose of this list?
My two cents,
Bill
