You seem to be referring to a multi-OS system. The setup is probably a bit more
complicated than that, and you need to mediate your boot options with
_something_. The utility SYSTEM COMMANDER (from V Communications, about $50.)
has been a leader in this area for a long time, though they do have several
competitors. I'm using SC to choose between booting up OS/2 Warp (two different
versions at present, one of which is a "Maintenance Partition" for the other, to
get around the "Locked Files" problem), real PC-DOS 7.0, and NT-4. Given
sufficient hard disk real estate -- which usually isn't much of an issue these
days -- one could easily add Linux or other WINs to that mix.
