Re Nathan's question about not having to run WordPad: By the time the text is
into WordPad, XPL loses control. I don't know of a way to pass keystrokes to
WordPad (Ctrl+A to select, Ctrl+C to put onto clipboard) via XPL, though
there's no doubt a third-party program that could do it.
If that were the case, then you could create a shortcut that starts WordPad
in minimized view, and the work would go on behind the scenes.
