Me too! OS/2 is wonderful and works especially well with both Xy4DOS and XyWIN.
On my machine, Xy4DOS definitely runs faster under OS/2 and XyWin appears to
run even faster. When I last posted to this group I was still using Xy4 in
preference to XyWin. I've now gone over completely to XyWin as a result of
having to do a new series of lectures and needing to prepare overheads for
each. It was so much easier using the Windows fonts in XyWin (which are built
into OS/2) than it would have been under Xy4DOS that I am now a XyWin convert.
Graphically viewing the overhead before printing (or, for that matter, editing
it in graphics [WYSIWYG] mode) is a real bonus. DOS just cannot deliver the
goods in this area.

Like Harmon Seaver and others I will soon be looking for an OS/2 word
processor. I have written TTG and suggested they give us an OS/2 XyWrite. I
would instantly buy it. No response. I've been using XyWrite since 1988 and
would hate to give it up, but if something better comes along in OS/2 I will
try it. I think we are about to see a major shift in operating systems, and
OS/2 has the advantage of being able to run DOS, Windows and OS/2 applications.
Windows95 is looking more and more like Windows 3.1 with a new interface and
not much more. Some testers are saying that it runs Windows 3.1 applications
*slower* than 3.1.

On the switch from XyWrite III+ to Xy4(DOS & WIN): I relearned the keyboard and
menus and am now very happy that I did. This is a step worth taking.
