For some reason, the problem I was having with full-screen vDosXy not covering the taskbar has gone away. Yesterday I used "Change The Windows 7 Start Orb the Easy Way" (you can Google it) to replace the default Start icon with something more subdued. It wasn't exactly "easy", and it took two or three reboots to take effect, but the end result is that vDosXy full-screen now takes up the entire display. I don't know if it was the Change the Orb program or the reboots that did it, but as you can see from the screen shot, I'm back to where I was before.
