The one I use most is HTMLTAG or HT, which generates any tag, both and versions, and DeFines the end tag while leaving the cursor between the tags, so you can enter intervening text or alternatively MoVe the end tag where you want it. I like the SPL file idea for writing HTML. Pity that you can't do much more with an SPL file than expand abbreviations, i.e. you can't make it DeFine text or move the cursor backwards -- it can't perform XPL...
