I order from Amazon frequently, and would have been glad to help you out, but did not see this thread until just now.  I'm glad others stepped forward so quickly though, as it seems you were dealing with something of a time factor.

Your post below brings back some interesting but awfully vague
 memories for me.  In the late 1980's, I briefly worked for this small startup that was doing some forms typesetting work with HP LaserJets, using Xy + XPL + various other ingredients.  Controlling the base HP PCL allowed an extreme degree of precision in how the forms came out, which was required.  One of the things we had was this (I think quite expensive) fonts program suite that came in this humongous white clamshell box, with a big slipcover for volumes of reference material.  It could manipulate fonts in just about any way one might ever want to do, and came with a staggering collection of them.  This was from a time when good fonts were paid for, not free.  I don't recall the name of this collection.  (Just the weight of this would cost a lot more than $10. to ship domestically, today.)  The work we were doing back then all seems pretty hazy to me now.

  Oh yes, my font installations are mainly PostScript, and I am using
  ATM 3.02 which is the one that works in Win 3.1 and Win 95, and the
  only version compatible with VirtualPC and Win 3.1. Otis bought for
  me Ares Fontminder, which is the best font manager for Win 3.1. I
  have used and still use Ares Fontmonger for converting fonts, but
  somehow I did not see the point of Fontminder in the early '90s when
  it was readily available. Adobe bought Ares, which had great
  technology, but retired all their stuff. Some were simply too
  powerful for a company that sells fonts, like Font Chameleon (have a
  peek at: http://vimeo.com/14758983). Ares Fontminder handles Type 1
  and TrueType equally well. I am looking forward to using this
