David, I'm not sure why those calls would be dangerous to a large drive,
although I'm not a programmer myself so I couldn't comment further. I wonder if
DOS 4.0 would like programmers in general to use different hex address calls to
open files. If I can get my hands on a 4.0 Tech Reference Manual, I will check
on the addresses relative to DOS 1.0.
