I had certainly hoped so too. However, even with the edited CDD section
(attached as cdd.txt) I continue to get a similar error message:

"Bad dir C:\XYWRITE\EDITOR.EXEDOCS".

What went wrong? Does VA$ED preserve the trailing "\" (though that would not
necessarily explain the error message)?
