Well, it could be that the genesis of my preference lies in my
being an OS/2 user; but let's not commit the genetic fallacy.
But to answer the question: my altruism doesn't extend to caring
what you do with the Windows product. I would prefer a few enhancements to XPL IN
XYDOS. I might say that that AND "an embedded basic language"
would be good, but we do keep hearing about limited resources
.... So if both is not an option, I would prefer well-crafted enhancements to XPL
(i.e., don't retro-break something).

Sorry, I thought I was giving "fighting" the positive spin I

Well, I am scared of 4.017 so I've held off on that. Is this
4.018 we're talking about?
[Speaking of OS's; if XyDos could be trained to not barf on long
filenames, then it would become an even more perfect beast to run
in a
VDM.]
