Re: HP-II FONTS

The Pro Collection driver gives you the font definitions and width tables for
the fonts on the cartridge AND the internal fonts. The basic HP files give you
the internal fonts and some other stuff. For instance, 3HP-CART has definitions
for the internal fonts and all of the "old" HP cartridges (identified usually
by a single letter A-Z [except S1, S2]). 3HP-SOFT, 3HPSOFT1 and 3HPSOFT2 define
the internal fonts and split the soft font among them (too many to get in one
file). So if you are using the Pro Collection cartridge and NO OTHER cartridge
or soft fonts, use the driver for the Pro Collection. If you are using another
cartridge, you probably want to shuffle font definitions/width tables from one
file to the other to develop a third, combined file. Same thing if you are
using soft fonts. The various application notes talk about doing this. Try #114
for starters.
