Re: Getting Xy4Dos Up & Running on T61 with XP-Pro

Tame is a wonderful accessory built to bridge between Windows and DOS, for
using DOS programs. I have no idea if using Tame would solve your problem
or, as Jordan suggested, merely add a layer of complexity. But the
installation is so simple that I would suggest giving Tame a try. You have
nothing to lose, and if it works, you'll not only solve your problem but
have a better-looking XyWrite.
Another tack: go to to Properties then the Compatibility tab and experiment
with various settings under "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"

I have nothing checked for my Thinkpad X61 under XP SP2.
Any significant factors in choosing Tame over DosBox or vice versa?

Installation is a breeze.

As an evasion have you tried installing either Tame or Dosbox, and
running Xy4 from one or the other? You'll lose some functionality under
Dosbox, but it may be better than no XyWrite at all on the road.
