SmartSet Problem

Responding to "Telecommunications Reports", who had a problem loading
SmartSet under XyDOS v4.011:

I'm puzzled that some Type 5 routines work while most others don't. That
doesn't make sense.

Those error messages suggest that  isn't really calling PrsCMline.
The first thing I'd do is check the keyboard-file definition of . It
should be:

nn=JM,(,2,.,P,r,s,C,M,l,i,n,e,)

For "nn", of course, substitute the appropriate key code. And remember to
reLOAD the keyboard file if you modify it.

If that doesn't work, try changing all the Type 5 frames in SMARTSET.U2 to
Type 1 (command CH {{5 {{1). The early version of Xy that you're using might
require Type 1 frames.

If that doesn't work either (it probably won't), let me know and I'll think
further. We *will* get this to work. Though it's great to hear that you like
the routines, it's even more satisfying to know that "it's given me some ideas
toward solving problems that have vexed me since upgrading from
Xy 3.54." That's the kind of thought-provocation and cross-fertilization
I'm really after. When we get this running, I'd like to hear your problem-
solving ideas, as (I'm sure) would others who are still making the transition
from XyIII.

P.S. Is there a natural person behind "Telecommunications Reports"? Or should
we call you "Telly" for short?
