Re: XY4 Memory Management

Just realized that the situation we were discussing _secondarily_
(multi-tasking XY4) ought to be moot. I did this quite comfortably with 3.5x
under DesqView '386 for the past 6 years, but haven't even tried to do so with
XY4, as I understand SIG and the XY4 it evolved into do not like QEMM at all.
But, once I switch to OS/2 (which I already own -- just don't have 50 meg.s to
store it on with this old '386 rig), it will be possible to have multiple DOS
sessions, even concurrent with Windoze & OS/2 app.s running, if the new
hardware is up to it and I so wish. Ergo, full access to DOS and anything
else, by all reports better than what I was used to with DV '386. So what do
you need B&F for ? And, in this scenario, _no need_ to shell out of XY4 . . .
which still begs the question of why the memory management is so flakey.

I've heard that XY4DOS runs really well under OS/2, so I'm looking forward to
the changeover.
