RE: Digest in Outlook

Patricia M Godfrey asked whether Outlook could save the
attachments so they could be viewed with Notepad (or even NB/Xy). Short
answer: you can save any or all of the attachments, but they are saved in
separate files. ... and the files are MS-fat files: files made fat with
all kinds of code to make them "convenient". For example, Patricia message
was actually 480 bytes. The file to which it was saved was 10,752 bytes! In
exchange for all of those bytes you get... er... you get the ability to
click on it and read it in Outlook. Wow!
