You're right! There were (at least) two errors in my code: one that
caused EB to stay at 0,0 (and WA to stay at 0) under certain
conditions, and another that precluded using <$Xkey> to change the
EB or WAit settings. Fixed below.

One thing, though: Because of a feedback loop, you cannot use
<$Xkey> to set EB=0,0 or WA=0. You have to use a standard func XC or
 to set those values (only). If you can think of a way around
that, I'd be eager to hear it.
