No one caan stand MSW. However...

1] if your Document 1 is a blank file, try to save it. A box should appear
asking if yu want to keep the changes. Choose NO. The Document 1 should
disappear forever.

2] if you have windows explorer, you can USUALLY delete files there while
stilll in MSW.

My MSW was pre-installed on a Dell computer. If yours was, the E-Mail I use
for advice is win98@xxxxxxxx. The answers can take up 2 days, but at least
you have copies of the correspondence, which you don't if you go thru their
web site.
