The love bug virus is based on visual basic; the two microsoft programs in
question, outlook and express can default to auto-executing such attachments
or the unwary can ask them to be executed. One advantage of living in the
OS/2 world is being immune; in the Windoze there are many better mail
programs than those of microsoft and that may add a margin of safety. Of
course, one should always track down dubious default settings for
auto-opening attachments and never open attachments at all except from known
correspondents, etc.
