I learned a lesson re U2 modifications:
The problem was not in my code (Robert was right about that) but in the
fact that up at the top of the U2 file, in the text section that names the
authors, etc. I had listed the routine that I added. But I referred to with
the literal string:
{{5%}}
and apparently you can't do that. It traps the prskbd thing I suppose. Not
surprisingly, the thing that came up on my screen, and I thought was an
error message, was just the next line of text following the {{5%}}.
