Right. But also, I guess, wrong.

Could this possibly be a Windows 8 thing? I have VCLIP running in
two Win 7 machines, and it works as expected.

Well ... I just noticed that NIRCMDC.EXE has been updated since
Windows 8. Download the latest version here:

http:/users.datarealm.com/ammaze/xfer/NIRCMDC.EXE

Put it in your vDosXy directory and try again.
