Actually, func GT isn't necessary. I never noticed this before, but
merely saving  to a Save/Get (>) forces the
cursor from CMline to text (if it isn't already there). So does
VA/NV $DR executed from the CMline. I'd have preferred the cursor
to stay put, but the internal design seems to require the cursor
actually to point to the filename for VA$DR to acquire content.
