Please, nobody do this! Resetting or powering off while Windows is
running is guaranteed to cause file corruption at some point. An
operating system like Windows keeps many files open while it's running,
and cutting the power doesn't let it tidy up its file system,
potentially creating havoc with the way files are organised on disk. I
once ruined a whole hard disk because of this and lost everything.

If you want to go into raw DOS mode (from Windows 95), select Start |
Shutdown | Restart in DOS (or words to that effect).
