Re: XY on a Mac

VirtualBox is free and open source.
I'll try to test it within the next few months, but real work calls.

To be clear, I tried Parallels with a DOS setup only. Perhaps a Windows setup would be better. I didn't want to go that route as I prefer Xy4 under DOS and don't need any Windows programs.
As for the keyboard issues, they are simple to solve. For the Mac,
look under hardware, keyboard & mouse, under System Preferences. For
DosBox there is a "keymapper" (available pressing CTR-F12). The
mounting procedure, as my computer guy set it up, is as easy as a
click of the mouse. I keep DOSBOX mounted. The only time I have to
redo is when I fully restart the computer, every month or so, or
when new software updates require.
That said, I don't want to oversell DosBox, as I use it
infrequently. However, it has saved me at times when I've had to
work in Xy while on the road. I've backed up simply by e-mailing
myself files intermittently. So far though, no disasters.

Just to be clear: you're saying that VPC won't run on OSX 10.4 and
later? Given Lisa's problems with Parallels, this doesn't sound like
good news.
