Re: XyWrite Development

It seems as though many of your problems are related to display
problems. Do you have a high resolution video card in your
system? If so, try disabling it.
XyWrite has in the past experienced problems with high resolution
video cards.

There has not been a maintenance release since XyWrite 4.016, so
you have the current version. The enhancement report for XyWrite
4 for DOS is available on the TTG BBS (410-576-8806), and soon
will be available on the Internet.

I could not recreate the page break in snaking columns, but if
you would like to upload a copy of your settings.dfl and a test
document where the error occurs, I could test it.

Regarding the clock problem, check to ensure that you have a
stacks line in your config.sys file, (Stacks=9,256).

Development is aware of the graphics view problem, and at this
time, tech support is recommending using the graphics view for
final formatting before printing. It is not intended as an
editing view, or a drafting view.

The GIF suggestion was forwarded to development, but in the
meantime you might try using a graphics conversion product like
HiJaak Pro.

Thank you, Britt
