Re: Second Thoughts...

Robert, thanks for your files.

I will try to answer your last 4 messages in this one, and try to be brief. The
quality of communications on this board is just AWFUL. I just counted: in these
last 5 days I had 10 CARRIER DROP's while reading/uploading messages.

Since I started using PCLEXAM, about 20 months ago, with SIG and then XY4 it
worked perfectly in both languages and never crashed (I always use it in
Form./Draft)

It worked, and still works, in english and francais with just toggling of the
main dictionaries (even within the same document) according to the current
state of the UD=FRANCAIS/US (With OM=0 and LX=... ) defined in the SETTINGS DFL
file.

I some texts I may have switched languages 10 times and the main spelling
worked/switched flawlessly. My only problem, which started this thread, was the
proper use of different personal spellers. PCLEXAM only used the one defined in
STARTUP.INT. Now that problem has been 99% solved, using a eng.spl and fra.spl
in a macro.

I never even tried, until very recently to use Microlytics, as TTG SysOp said
they could not work together, and I need French (PCLEXAM being the only
available solution).

From what I undertsand PCLEXAM uses the same 4 *.DLx files but with the
FRANCAIS.DIC, which is a 1.2Mb file, while US.DIC is a .65Mb file. I do not
think it needs anything else. I will try to go back and see what came with the
French version.

As Microlytics does not even work standalone on my system, (clean boot - no
references to PCLEXAM) it is just a waste of your and my time trying to pursue
this idea any longer.

I may revisit this issue some time in the future, if/when TTG comes up with a
clean product. Sorry for wasting so much of your time and again thanks very
much.
