No, TAME isn't in there at present.
NB 8 holds a lot of promise, but I have to say that on my system, it is
very buggy.
Try REM (ing) out TAME startup command from Autoexec.nt and seeing if that
solves some of these problems. NB developers had not heard of TAME, but
they allow that it could cause NTVDM problems in the program.
